Apiculture is one of the applied fields because of its importance in self employment, pollination, honey and wax production. This book covers the syllabus of “Apiculture ” paper for B. Sc. Zoology prescribed by Bharathidasan University.  This book attempts to present a simple, understandable text with diagrams for UG students. This book contains 5 Chapters. Chapter 1 includes topics related to Honey bee. Chapter 2 covers topics of bee colony. Chapter 3 comprises topics related to apiary. Chapter 4 consists of topic related to honey. Chapter 5 includes the topic related to employment.

The text is presented in a very readable way and concise description of information is easy-to-follow the apiculture acitivities. Student can understand each topic with elaborate well-illustrated diagram and a valuable reference book for the experienced teacher. Specific concepts and detailed management techniques are covered in a matter-of-fact and easy to implement way. It covers all aspects catering for beginners and experienced beekeepers alike. This book also helps the readers to easily learn about honey bee biology, establishment of apiary and its management. It Includes the glossary and model question information on the topics discussed.
